Join in the fight against pancreatic cancer by registering for the 27th Annual L.A. Cancer Challenge 5K Walk/Run Halloween-themed fundraiser held in Wilson Plaza at UCLA. This "spook-tacular", family-friendly charity event will include a free Fit Family Expo and the enchanting Candyland Kids Zone. Walkers and runners will support crucial cancer research and take steps toward finding a cure for this disease.

The L.A. Cancer Challenge, hosted and produced by the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, marks the beginning of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month and the Halloween season with a unique twist. Participants will be dressed in animated costumes or purple T-shirts to demonstrate unity in the fight against pancreatic cancer, the disease with the highest mortality rate among all major cancers.

In-person and virtual participants are invited to be part of SoCal’s most beloved charity race and to make a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Registration fees range from $45 (adults)/$25 (youth) to $55 (adults)/$35 (youth). Be sure to check for deadline dates as rates are subject to change.

The Fit Family Expo promises a fun-filled day for all, offering a range of Halloween activities and attractions that cater to both kids and adults. From interactive health and fitness booths to an adult costume contest and a kids’ costume parade, there’s something for everyone. The fundraiser also features the whimsical Candyland Kids Zone with life-size candy decor, festive arts and crafts, and moonbounces as well as a giant donut wall for participants who cross the finish line.
